Warren Bruce “ WB” Austin, age 65, of Janesville passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Rock Haven Nursing Home following a short battle with cancer. Warren was born in Janesville on June 25, 1950, the son of J. Kenneth and Noreen (Fanning) Austin. He graduated from Milton High School. He served in the U. S. Army from May 25, 1970 until December 29, 1971. “WB” married Yong Ja Kim on July 31, 1972. He farmed on the family farm in Janesville Township all of his life. He attended First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two children, Ronald (Michelle) Austin of Milton, Lisa (Chad) Paetzold of Trinity, FL, four grandchildren, Cade and Chance Austin, Carson and Austin Paetzold, his siblings, Jack (Jean ) Austin of Janesville, Barbara Gosh of Ingleside, IL, Dale Allan Austin of Wonder Lake, IL, Janet Stevenson of Janesville , many nieces and nephews. Warren’s parents preceded him in death, as well as a brother-in-law, Kent Stevenson and a sister-in-law, Connie Austin.
“WB”s family would like to thank Agrace Hospice, the Rock Haven Staff and Mercy Hospital for the wonderful care he was given, also a special thanks to Clare from Mercy Hospital Social Services Department for her compassionate care and concern.
Services will be held at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville with Rev. Dr. Bruce A. Jones officiating at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016. Military rites will be performed by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621. The family will meet friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
